Foz do Iguaçu is an important touristic destination of Brazil, where approximately 270,000 people from various ethnicities live. It means it's a place of diversity of cultures, races and beliefs, what results in religiosity and paganism.

The unit of Comunidade in Foz do Iguaçu exists since three years ago, when Pr. Marco Antônio Peixoto recognized in Julio and Elisa Canhete the ministry call to be pastors of a church and sent them to that city.

Walking a path of miracles, the work of Comunidade at Foz do Iguaçu is growing day by day, in the expectation of seeing the preached message of the Gospels generating each day more possibilities for a new life, full of peace, joy and victory.

The church is recognized by many as a referential to other ministries in the city, because of their faith in the impossible, for the excellence of their acts and their boldness in facing great challenges.

The greatest challenge of CEIZS' Foz do Iguaçu unit has been confronting the local's religiosity. There's not enough power at religiosity to appease the conflicts of the soul, therefore it gets sicker and sicker for the lack of God's life in it. Many people have been living sick and empty this way.

The church has also been facing the intellectuality, which bases life under the aspects of human knowledge, making it limited. Anyone who decides to live like this will find nothing more than frustration and existential emptiness, when the time of trouble and need comes.

AWhat Comunidade Internacional da Zona Sul at Foz do Iguaçu seeks, through the message of the Gospel, is to make people aware of Jesus' work of deliverance for the soul of man – the inner part of the human being, where only the Creator is able to reach. Many works are being done towards this objective:

Radio program: the program “Basta Uma Palavra” (One Word Is Enough) is on air on Thursdays from 17 PM to 18 PM at the radio station Melodia Gospel FM (96,9). This work is impacting the whole region and testimonies of many people who are not yet Christians, but are receiving blessings already through the word ministered on the program are proof of that.

Evangelisms: as a gesture of faith and boldness, the Comunidade Internacional da Zona Sul church is constantly on the streets, declaring who is the King Jesus, the Christ, and that Foz do Iguaçu city belongs to Him.

Reunions: aiming for the church's edification and the communion among the members, CEIZS' Foz do Iguaçu unit provides lunches and dinners at celebration dates. Such events strengthen family bonds and even improve teamwork.

Vigils: the whole church is often invited to take part in these moments of prayer, in behalf of the city.
